The year is almost at an end and we have had some truly great games this year. From Red Dead Redemption to Mass Effect 2, we have had some very memorable games this year and next year looks to be another great year for games.
Next year we have plenty of games to look forward to, some have a release date, some only have a season they are due to come out (Q3/Q4 2011 or Holiday 2011 or something similar) and some we can speculate that they will be released sometime in 2011. (Data taken from: Wikipedia. Some games don’t have a release date such as Mass Effect 3 so take them as placeholders)
Apart from the games above, there is plenty of games that don’t have a release date that we are expected to see next year such as Duke Nukem Forever, inFamous 2, The Last Guardian, Tomb Raider, Nintendos new hand held console, the 3DS, etc.
One of my most anticipated games, Guild Wars 2 is also speculated to come out next year. A new profession will be revealed in January and hopefully if the hype starts up again afterwords, we may see a release for Guild Wars 2 by summer although that is speculation on my part as well.
The PS3 is looking to have a good year with all the exclusives and some of the multi-platform games including Mass Effect 2 in the early part of the year and Mass Effect 3 in the later part of the year. I’ll be covering many of the games with reviews and keeping up with the news over the next year so make sure to keep an eye on here over the next year.
Let’s all have a good year in 2011, Happy New Year everyone.
